Although we focus primarily on Sodablasting, sometimes the toughest jobs require us to get rough. We offer sandblasting in the same capacity that we offer the soda. Both types of blasting media have their pro’s and con’s. Here are the key differences:

Sodablasting Vs. Sandblasting

  • Sodablasting doesn’t damage underlying surfaces. It won’t warp anything and won’t scratch.
  • Sodablasting removes normal rust and is usually the best choice for steel, fiberglass, aluminum, wood, and fiberglass.
  • Sandblasting can be used to remove heavy rust whereas sodablasting will sometimes fail.
  • Sandblasting leaves sand residue everywhere and requires cleanup, soda on the other hand practically cleans itself up.
  • Sandblasting cleans up surfaces faster and requires less media to get the job done, but it is not as neat.
  • Sandblasting is ¬†usually less expensive than sodablasting, depending on the application.
